About Benjamin

I have been road cycling for over 5 years and have loved the sport ever since.
During that time, I have handled many road cycling products, tested them in everyday life and want to share my experience here honestly, practically and clearly.

Road cycling, like blogging about it, is also the perfect balance for me: after a busy day as a mechanical engineering technician, nothing helps me unwind and clear my head better than getting on the bike.

My ambition with Rennradguru is to get as many people as possible into sport, especially road cycling. I think few things are better than seeing yourself become fitter step by step, feel better and suddenly achieve things that previously seemed impossible.

That is exactly what Rennradguru aims to support: practical tips, clear guides and honest product experiences that make starting easier, keep motivation high and help you find the right setup faster. Ultimately, what matters most to me is more people on bikes, for a fitter Germany.

How I test and compare

In product tests, I examine each item closely and see how it performs under real everyday conditions, as road cyclists actually use it. I focus particularly on key functions and features, usability, build quality, reliability and details that emerge only after a few rides, such as mounting, handling, battery life and practicality. Depending on the product and availability, I supplement practical testing with thorough research into technical specifications, manufacturer information, updates, versions and relevant experience to provide as complete a picture as possible. My aim is an honest report: what is really good, what is annoying and who the product is genuinely worthwhile for.

I create product comparisons primarily through research and systematic organisation of the key models on the market. I collect essential data and features, assess them against clear criteria and present everything in clear tables. This lets you quickly compare the main products side by side and see differences at a glance, without digging through numerous manufacturer pages and conflicting information.
